The lunches which follow our monthly general meetings take place at Wortley Hall Hotel,

a short drive from Grenoside Community Centre

This venue offers comfortable bars and pleasant dining rooms in rural surroundings


We have four rotating menus through the year

Bookings, with choices, must be made no later than 4pm

on the Thursday of the week previous


After that time the booking must be paid for even if cancelled


As a reminder the dates are at the right-hand side above


Bookings can be made in advance with no commitment

up until the Thursday cut-off time

Seasonal Lunches 2025 - 2026

The club arranges special Seasonal Lunches in spring, autumn and winter.

These along with the summer Annual Dinner are the main social highlights

 of the year when wives, partners, friends and wives of former members are all invited.

 


SPRING LUNCH

Tuesday 20 May - Wortley Hall Hotel – 12.30 for 1.00pm

 

40th ANNUAL DINNER

Tuesday 19 August - Wortley Hall Hotel - 6.30 for 7.00pm

followed by entertainment

 

AUTUMN LUNCH

Tuesday 14 October - Wortley Hall Hotel - 12.30 for 1.00pm

 

WINTER LUNCH

Tuesday 17 February 2026 - Wortley Hall Hotel - 12.30 for 1.00pm


Special menus are available just before these events for preselection and booking

and as always wives/partners and guests will be made very welcome.

Visits

We organise visits – both locally and further afield to places of special interest, and when practical these are opened to partners, family members, non-members, and friends.  Travel to and from these venues is often done by car sharing, but for longer trips we arrange coach hires, which many of us find more relaxing.
